Pouring Into Purpose: Celebrating National Nonprofit Day
Every sip has a purpose, and on National Nonprofit Day, we’re proud to shine a light on some of the incredible organizations we partner with through our For Our Youth initiative. These nonprofits are working every day to create lasting impact for the next generation, addressing critical needs in health and wellness, literacy, food security, mentorship, technology access, education, and the arts. Your daily ritual helps fuel their mission, and today we’re celebrating their work and the difference they’re making from coast to coast.
Cultivating Health & Wellness
From mental health to physical wellbeing, our partners are dedicated to helping young people thrive. Kid Power Inc. in Washington, D.C. has inspired youth leadership through mentorship and wellness programming, seeing tremendous growth in program engagement this year. Meanwhile, Acta Non Verba in Oakland hosted their annual Camp ANV, giving youth eight weeks of immersive, outdoor experiences that encouraged healthy living and inspired the next generation of leaders.

Expanding Access to Technology
Technology opens doors to new opportunities, and Compudopt in Houston is breaking barriers by eliminating limited access to computers and digital education. With support from BLK & Bold, they’ve continued placing computers in the homes of families, expanding digital literacy, and helping youth gain the resources they need to thrive in a digital-first world.
Fighting Food Insecurity

Food is about more than nourishment. It’s about access, dignity, and community. This year, Urban Growers Collective in Chicago continued their Youth Corps program, giving young people paid apprenticeships to learn about food systems and food justice while working hands-on in community farms. Their work builds both skills and stronger communities where food insecurity remains a challenge.
Empowering Education & Mentorship
Education can change the trajectory of a child’s life. By Degrees Foundation in Des Moines has championed this work by opening several new children’s savings accounts this year, depositing nearly $30,000 across those accounts, and providing students with exposure to higher education opportunities.
In Los Angeles, the LA Conservation Corps has combined mentorship with service, offering young adults the chance to build skills while contributing to January's post-fire revitalization efforts, demonstrating the power of education tied to real-world impact.

Inspiring Innovation & Creativity

Innovation and the arts fuel imagination and possibilities. The Center for Black Innovation is carrying forward the legacy of black entrepreneurs and changemakers through their Next Gen Legacy Lab, where young people are introduced to pathways in innovation and leadership. By nurturing creativity and resilience, they’re equipping youth to lead in spaces that shape the future.
Every purchase of BLK & Bold coffee or tea contributes directly to these efforts. On National Nonprofit Day, we honor the nonprofits driving real change and our BLK & Bold fam who make it all possible. Together, we’re fueling futures, one cup at a time.
