BLK & Bold Recognized As One Of NMSDC’s Fast 50: Top Growing Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)
BLK & Bold is recognized for its stellar growth and resourcefulness to scale and meet the needs of stakeholders during times of uncertainty by the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
Des Moines, IA - October 7, 2022 - Today, BLK & Bold, is excited to announce their acceptance as one of National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC’s) Fast 50: Top Growing Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), an initiative set forth for NMSDC’s 50th Anniversary Conference & Exchange, the longest-operating business growth engine for the broadest group of systematically excluded communities of color, taking place on October 31st - November 1st in New Orleans.
BLK & Bold joins the list in tandem with 49 other NMSDC-certified MBEs, recognized based on the highest average growth rate during the years of 2019, 2020, and 2021 as determined by strategic partner DiversityInc, the preeminent source of diversity data, news, and best practices. BLK & Bold’s unyielding commitment to their community as a consumer goods brand competes with others on the list that are primarily service based, with only one other CPG brand to have made the awards list.
“As a consumer goods brand to be one of the few represented in the space of the fastest growing diverse supplier brands just further showcases ways that supplier diversity can be incorporated within business and we’re proud to continue to pioneer the opportunity and the conversations with value aligned organizations,” said Co-Founder Pernell Cezar. “No better way to manifest impact beyond something that's as ritualistic for people, as a cup of coffee.”
This acknowledgement depicts the brands persistence to be a frontrunner within their industry and beyond. BLK & Bold has continued to showcase the importance of purpose and intentionality through a myriad of initiatives over the years, all of which have placed their consumers at the forefront. Partnering with notable brands like Ben & Jerry’s, NBA, and most recently Marvel Studios with Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever, BLK & Bold continues to strive to build a community rooted in the essence of culture and progress.
Despite economic uncertainties, BLK & Bold has kept a stronghold on its values of being a mission driven brand, through not only their partnerships, but also through their social impact initiative, “For Our Youth,” which helps nonprofit organizations support children in underserved communities across the country. BLK & Bold provides integrity that inspires conversations over a cup of coffee and is paving the way to continue revolutionizing the coffee industry.
