The Opportunity:

We are an emerging start-up looking for a dynamic team player to fill a key role on our marketing team as a Social Media Manager. This role will report into the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for the daily management of the company’s social media accounts (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok, YouTube, and/or LinkedIn). In addition, this individual will be responsible for providing an evolving strategy to grow the brand’s digital presence through community engagement, tactful SEO, and other KPIs. 

Working Conditions:

Typical office setting. If ever in the fulfillment/production area, hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and use of light manufacturing equipment.

Major Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Create purposeful daily original content that relates to and engages brand’s audiences while following brand guidelines. This will include develop content calendar to identify key moments to engage with our audience
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to do editorial planning and content development for key themes of our social media content 
  • Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed quarterly SEO and website traffic goals
  • Work with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities 
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
  • Manage overall analytics for Social Media including daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting on campaign performance, social interaction and digital communications
  • Mine analytics data and develop strategies for content creation, optimizing social channels and initiatives, increase engagement and ROI, and to build brand awareness
  • Monitor and evaluate Social Media results on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in coordination with institution goals and benchmarks. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing social media for a lifestyle or CPG brand
  • Passion for coffee and/or tea a plus!
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Some experience with graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Photoshop)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Organizational, prioritization, editorial planning and time management skills
